Andaman’s only commercial airport (Veer Savarkar International Airport) is in Port Blair, thus making it your only entry and exit point into the islands. Port Blair is connected to all islands by ferries The Phoenix Bay Jetty and the Haddo wharf, are the most reliable harbours.

How to Reach

VIA AIR : eer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair is connected via flights to Kolkata Airport as well as Chennail Airport. Only domestic operators offer flight service to Andaman Islands. 2 major fomestic aircraft operators Air India and Jet Airways offer flight service to Andaman Islands.

VIA TRAIN : No railways.

VIA ROAD : By Ships: There are three to four ships every month that leave from Chennai, Kolkata and Vizag. Currently there are 2 ships - MV Nancowry and MV Swarajdweep - from Chennai and the MV Nicobar and MV Akbar from Kolkata. However MV Harshavardan offer ferry service to Andaman from both Chennai and Kolkata ports.

Havelock Island

Havelock Island at the Andamans is the most popular spot for scuba diving. Home to one of the richest coral reef ecosystem in the world, the waters here are pristine, and teeming with diverse marine life.

Radhanagar Beach

Beach number 7 (or more commonly known as Radhanagar Beach) was bestowed with the title of ‘Asia’s Best Beach’ in 2004 by the TIME magazine.

Mangrove creek

Baratang Island is located about 100 kilometres away from Port Blair city and offers a boat-safari, amidst the nature-made tunnel of thick mangrove plantations.
